IM3 Robots

Below is a brief description of the many models of robots designed by Professor Atombender or by the A.I. themselves in the years following the physical death of the evil genius. This list is not complete as it doesn't include threats that hasn't been detected yet by previous agents killed in action too soon. Reports about rare robots vaguely hint to oversized models which have just been barely glimpsed before the death of the unfortunate spies witnessing them.

model A: SentryBot

movement: linear induction motor

weaponry: ionic plasma generator

behavior: various (can or can't shoot, at designated spots, toward the agent, at the edges of a platform; can or can't turn; can or can't detect the agent, when he enters the room, when he is in front of them at the same altitude; can or can't move; independently or only as long as he sees the agent; can move slow, very slow, fast or very fast; can or can't turn back while advancing to see if the agent is behind them; can either shoot or move when detect the agent)

notes: this has always been the most common robot model produced by Elvin; legions of these robots were created for his first stronghold and many of them are still operational almost four decades later.

model B: FloatBot

movement: magnetic suspension field

weaponry: ionic plasma generator

behavior: various (can or can't shoot, at designated spots, toward the agent, at the edges of a platform; can or can't turn; can or can't detect the agent, when he enters the room, when he is in front of them at the same altitude; can or can't move; independently or only as long as he sees the agent; can move slow, very slow, fast or very fast; can or can't turn back while advancing to see if the agent is behind them; can either shoot or move when detect the agent)

notes: the ideal successors to old sentry robot models, they float one meter above the floor forcing intruders to crouch down and roll.

model C:
FreezeBot

movement: linear induction motor

weaponry: freezing field

behavior: patrolling back and forth independently of the agent's movement

notes: while not lethal, these models make intruders lose precious time in a freezed status: once touched, the agent remains immobile for ten minutes (however the perceived time is a few seconds in which everything appears to frantically accelerate). Although unharmed by the FreezeBot, the paralyzed agent remains exposed to the touch of other wandering robots such as SpiderBots and BallBots, which can kill him.

model D: PushBot

movement: linear induction motor

weaponry: none; repulsive magnetic field

behavior: pushes intruders off the platforms with its magnetic field

notes: updated and smarter version of the ShovelBots previously used by Elvin in the L.A. eight towers

model E: SpiderBot

movement: magnetic suction cups

weaponry: high voltage field, lethal to the touch

behavior: follows walls and platforms

notes: spiderbots are very mischievous models whose movements must be carefully studied by intruders to avoid them

model F: InvisiBot

movement: linear induction motor

weaponry: high voltage field, lethal to the touch

behavior: while in thermo-optic camouflage mode they patrol back and forth independently of the agent's movement

notes: InvisiBots are even more mischievous than SpiderBots due to their permanent invisibility; though, the careful eye can spot them as thermal waves that slightly distort the vision of what's behind them

model G: BallBot

movement: magnetic suspension field

weaponry: high voltage field, lethal to the touch

behavior: slowly floats in air towards intruders; they are destroyed when touching other robots

notes: a little number of the old floating balls of the original professor's underground stronghold is still operational

model H: 4125Bot

movement: android legs

weaponry: high voltage field, lethal to the touch

behavior: runs towards intruders

notes: a rare model of replicant droid designed using the famous Agent 4125 as a reference; it's an irony of fate that these robots will now face for the first time the very clone of their original human template

model J: MonolithBot

movement: none

weaponry: ionic plasma turboray

behavior: detects intruders and aims at them in a few seconds

notes: a model created by the A.I. themselves, as is evident from the very abstract and minimal design style; very little is known about this strange machine since it has only been spotted once by Agent Bravo 98 mere seconds before being vaporized; on the left is the only available image

model K: the Rover (or White BallBot)

movement: magnetic suspension field

weaponry: high voltage field, lethal to the touch

behavior: slowly floats in air towards intruders

notes: another model created by the robots themselves, the Rover is an albino version of the classic black BallBot; it has been created specifically to patrol corridors which, in the previous strongholds of Elvin, were free from any robot

model L: CameraBot

movement: rotating servomotors

weaponry: none

behavior: it rotates towards intruders to constantly focus them

notes: harmless device that allows Elvin's digitalized consciuousness to follow the agents, taunt and make fun of them during their efforts
